Hosted by Shelby, Cory, Erik, and their secret militarized comedy weapon, Al, the show presented a singular vision. That vision? To get drunk on the air. But despite the hosts’ ceaseless attempts at unprofessionalism, listeners still tuned in. Was it the occasional celebrity interview? The weird late-night callers? The thrill of listening to a train wreck in real time? No one can be sure. But it worked.
In March 2013, IllCon Radio moved to Radiovalencia.fm. Soon, the hosts realized they could change the colors of the studio lamps with their minds. After that, reality became their playground. There was no spoon. Cosmic matter was theirs to control, from the smallest quark to the largest galactic cluster to the infinite universal curve of all dimensions, all was within their grasp. So what did they do? They got drunk again and interviewed more famous weirdos. It was chill.
IllCon's second live appearance at SF Sketchfest promises to deliver an immersive theater experience chock full of siqq riffs, blast beats, horrific visions, Satanic rituals and blood soaked comedy. $15
