Raphael Bob-Waksberg

Raphael Bob-Waksberg is the creator and executive producer of the Netflix series "BoJack Horseman," which has been called "a bleak, brilliant comedy" by Slate, "the funniest show about depression ever" by Vulture, and "so odd" by the New York Times. Prior to BoJack, Raphael worked on the writing staff of a few TV shows that didn't last very long, and wrote a pilot for NBC that they apparently liked but didn't love.

Raphael was a founding member of the comedy group Olde English, whose viral videos appeared on Good Morning America, MSNBC, and Entertainment Weekly's Must List, and who performed to sold-out crowds at the HBO Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen and the San Francisco Sketchfest. With Olde English, Raphael co-wrote and appeared in the film "The Exquisite Corpse Project."

Raphael's writing has appeared in McSweeney's, on the new literary website Catapult, and on Craigslist where he posted what the Village Voice called "the most beautiful Missed Connection ever," Gawker called "the ultimate Missed Connection," and the Washington Post called "a poignant meditation on love, fear, and missed opportunities."
