Deira Bowie is a stand-up comedian hailing from Melbourne, Australia. Three years ago she left her job as a high school teacher to set her sights on a new life in America. Often referred to as 'confusingly happy' and 'not quiet as entertaining as an otter' Deira performs frequently at Fly Ass Jokes and 7 on 7 at the Brody Theatre and is a regular host at the Fun House in Portland. Deira is a one time winner of the Comedy Bull and a guest on rad shows like Earthquake Hurricane and Keep it Like a Secret. Once she met an astronaut and they ate ice cream, it was a very nice day.
