Aisling Bea

Aisling Bea is an Irish actress, comedian and writer. She was named Best Female TV Comic at the British Comedy Awards. In 2011 she won the prestigious UK wide competition "So You Think You're Funny?" and was subsequently invited to perform at Montreal's Just For Laughs. Her debut show at Edinburgh Fringe Festival was a critical and commercial hit getting 4 and 5 stars across the board and selling out (including all extra shows added). Following this, she was nominated for the prestigious Fosters Best Newcomer Award. The post Edinburgh run at London's Soho Theatre was a total sell out with extra dates added.

Her stand up credits include "Live at the Apollo" (BBC1), "Comedy Gala" (C4), "Russell Howard's Good News" (BBC3), "8 Out Of 10 Cats" (C4), "Cats Does Countdown" (C4) and "Don't Sit in the Front Row" (Sky1). She is a brilliant comedy actress whose credits include "Cardinal Burns" (E4), "Dead Boss" (BBC3), "The Town" (ITV), "Vodka Diaries" (BBC3), and "Trollied" (Sky1). Writing-wise she's writing a feature film for Grand Pictures, developing two sitcom vehicles with Citrus and Big Talk and her radio 4 series "Micks and Legends" has been commissioned for a second series.
